Eager to see the country's "big five" animals and other natural wonders, 18 Danish tourists have decided to pull on their biking gear and embark on a three-week road trip in South Africa.
The bikers set off from Pinetown yesterday and will travel 3 500km around the country before leaving for Denmark.
Finn Ingemann, an importer of Ducati motorbikes in Denmark and the trip's organiser, said yesterday he had fallen in love with South Africa when he visited the country last year.
He said the group would ride Ducati Monster and Streetfighter bikes as well as BMW motorbikes. The bikes were transported in containers to South Africa.
